Last December, PUMA Women appointed Rihanna as their creative director for a cool sum of $1 million. Fans of both Rihanna and PUMA were understandably excited as they looked forward to the ad campaign that would emerge from this dream partnership.
Well, wait no longer! On 30 April, the German label posted a sneak peek of the campaign on Instagram, captioning it “An icon who does it all needs a shoe that can keep up. Introducing the Pulse XT, worn by @badgalriri. #ForeverFaster”. Dressed in an assortment of PUMA gear, including a painfully-cool cropped sweatshirt and a pair of quirky leggings, the Barbadian singer is a sight to behold.
We can’t help but to sigh at Rihanna’s perfect abs and svelte dancer poise. What can this perfect girl not do? It seems that her talents don’t stop at just being an all-rounded performer who knows how to have fun – PUMA is hoping that RiRi’s creativity will translate to their designs. In fact, in tapping her talents, PUMA hopes to make her “a perfect ambassador for [their] brand”, creating designs and overseeing the direction of the brand.
