Sometimes just a year’s worth of shoe trends is sufficient in encapsulating the year’s global fashion preferences succinctly. 2015 is one of those times. Flirty like the fluffy heel, yet rugged like the Superstars; Up tight (more like tied) like lace up heels, yet laid back like the lovely Birkenstocks; 2015 was all about balance, and the It shoes knew it well.
As we gradually bid farewell to 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms, a list of (probably futile) resolutions and a whole lot of celebrating, here’s an ode to the most coveted kicks of 2015, the ones that saw us through the ups and downs on this rollercoaster of a year and never left us.
