Saint Laurent recently opened a temporary store in ION Orchard while their main store undergoes renovation. Lust-worthy pieces aside, let’s talk about their decor. Yes, we’re weird like that, but how can we not be when Saint Laurent got Hedi Slimane to come up with their store concept and design? You know it’s good stuff when even their pop-up store has better design than some flagship outlets here. #noshade
The ultra-sleek and luxe store design is a physical embodiment of the brand’s realigned visual identity. Featuring the finest materials, such as “noir sole” and “blanc stature” marble, the predominantly monochromatic space channels a sense of 21st century Art Deco. We love the use of extra-clear glass and mirrors (all the better to check out your reflection with, ahem), as well as the 1930s mirrored vitrines, with nickel-plated and mirror polished brass.
Together with the quilted leather upholstery, the new Saint Laurent store concept is very geometric, modern, and dare we say, trés chic? Don’t just take our word for it; pop by the Saint Laurent temporary store at ION Orchard Level 1. Opening hours are from 10:30am to 9:30pm on Sunday to Thursday, 10:30am to 10pm from Friday to Saturday. Their main store will be reopening later this year, so do keep an eye open!
