It’s the sort of place that only a few privileged people are lucky enough to visit. Usually, it’s the stylist, the publicist or the stars themselves who enter the room. So when we were given the opportunity to visit the Elie Saab suite at Hotel Martinez in Cannes, we found ourselves tip-toeing (albeit a little reverently) on the luxurious thick carpet as we explored, discovered, and gasped as we admired dozens of gowns, more stunning than we could have possibly imagined.

In the middle of this suite that’s located on the 3rd floor of the legendary Martinez, we noticed a familiar long gown embroidered with sequins and feathers. It’s the dress that Naomi Watts wore at the film festival opening last Wednesday! The spectacular piece was photographed from every angle on the red carpet and is a piece that Elie Saab is very proud of. However, the Australian actress wasn’t the only one to fall for the couture designer at Cannes. We also spotted Léa Seydoux –the blue haired actress from critically acclaimed movie Blue Is The Warmest Colour– in one of the Lebanese designer’s creations.

In the suite, long fancy gowns stand alongside more casual and shorter dresses like a printed one worn by Indian actress Freida Pinto, while a huge collection of the brand’s perfumes are displayed alongside for that final touch.
