Hairstyles and outfits in Games of Thrones are already heavily covered by the press…but what if designers were now actually inspired by the TV show?
Nicolas Ghesquiere just presented his first Cruise collection for major French fashion house, Louis Vuitton. Goodbye Pont-Neuf –where LV’s Parisian HQ is- and Hello sunny Palm Springs: Everyone who’s anyone flew to California not for Coachella, but to attend the Cruise season’s most exciting show.
There were, of course, the usual photogenic front row A-listers and interesting performances around the show, but once the few first looks came out, the only thing we could think of was HBO’s pop-culture phenomenon: Game of Thrones.
Sure, we can still feel the ’70s inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director, but there were also a lot of ethnic touches, and you could even say a Middle Ages vibe!
The inspiration and resemblance was actually so striking that we decided to assign those Medieval looks to our favorite Games of Thrones ladies.
Sansa, Khaleesi, Melissandre,Missandei… Will they star in Ghesquiere’s creations next season? We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
