Singapore Fashion Week 2015: The full line-up revealed

The wait is over! The largest fashion assembly will be coming to Singapore’s Fashion Week (SFW) from 13th to 17th May 2015. In this annual premier fashion event, the biggest acclaimed brands, fashion icons and emerging talents will be celebrated at Tent@Orchard.

In the vision to broaden the horizons for Singapore’s fashion industry, Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) will come together with Fashion Futures, a development programme intended for local artists. As the president of CFDA, Belgian-born American designer Diane von Furstenberg will kick off this splendid event with an opening show of her Fall 2015 collection. Being one of the strongest influences in the industry, her contributions will continue to engage and inspire through the SFW Fashion Talk Series.

With the global strategic alliance to educate homegrown artistry of American fashion industry, prestige member of CFDA Thakoon Panichgul will be joining von Furstenberg in SFW’s feedback sessions. Debuting for the first time in Singapore, the designer will be showcasing his 19th century dandies-inspired collection. Influenced by his diverse background of Thai-American heritage, Thakoon will undoubtedly be a exciting role model for young fashion novices.

Featuring our local fashion heroes, labels including Ong Shunmuga, Dzohchen and Elohim by Sabrina Goh will also be in attendance. Returning brands like Exhibit and ALT by Curated Editions will be collaborating for the second time to present their ready-to-wear and accessories lines. Unveiling a new clothing label, COLLATE THE LABEL, Velda Tan will be also part of the programme.

Highlighting this stylish occasion, SK-ll Ambassdor Cate Blanchett will be bringing her glamorous Hollywood touch to the event. Representing the Korean wave, L’Oreal Professionel Brand representative Yoon Eun Hye will be on the red carpet too. Under the front-row spotlight, we will also be welcoming Miroslava Duma, founder of Buro 24/7 and former Harper’s Bazaar Russia editor.

For the finale of the power line-up, high-profile designer Victoria Beckham will close this star-studded affair with her Fall 2015 collection. Winning Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards last year, Beckham has since brought a wardrobe of timeless designs to the world. With her refined line of modern apparel and accessories, the streamlined works will be unveiled to dazzle the Asian crowd this May.
